I worked for nearly twenty years in the public sector in New Jersey, specializing in the sexual abuse, trauma, and family violence field. I was actively involved in improving services for incest and sexual abuse victims in central New Jersey in the early 1980’s, leading to being honored with several awards including a Women of Achievement Award in 1987 and being listed in several editions of Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who in America. I also have training and experience working with juvenile sex offenders, believing that treatment is the only way to prevent further offending. In 1998 I moved to Montana where, in addition to having a general private practice, I have continued to focus on helping people overcome the long term effects of childhood trauma. In more recent years I have also taken advanced training in how to incorporate meditation and mindfulness techniques into psychotherapy.
